Hibbettage was built by Basye Kimbrough (B.K.) Hibbett, Jr. (1901-1965) and wife Mary Frances Young Hibbett (1903-1984) at 2160 Old Hickory Blvd. in 1939. They married in 1924. Its Colonial Revival style is a replica of the Hermitage because Mary Frances was active in the Ladies Hermitage Association.
