Sarah Gladys “Saidee” Cheney Williams Overton (1872-1963) built Beauvoir about 1930. It is my impression that Beauvoir was located in the hills off Tyne BL near Tyne Valley Rd and near Maxwell Ct. She was the widow of Jesse M. Overton. The year of 1922 was terrible for the Overton family: Father Jesse was killed in an auto crash and their son, John Williams Overton, was killed in action in World War I.
