Lockeland Mansion/ Chadwell Place : Home of Lockeland Springs water
Photo: Nashville Public Library, Special Collections Was 105 South Seventeenth St. Nashville, TN Circa 1810. Federaly style home Lockeland Mansion, built by Col. Robert L. Weakley (1764-1845) and Jane Locke Weakley (1769-1838), originally faced Woodland St. in East Nashville. It had 390 acres surrounding it. The estate was named for Weakley’s in-laws - his father-in-law was Gen. Matthew Locke of North Carolina. Weakley’s family was from Virginia. Robert and Jane married in 17
