Washington B. Cooper Home: An Artist's Home
Near Charlotte and Clifton Aves. Nashville, TN Circa pre-1845. 2 story, 13-room brick The home had been built earlier by Samuel Watkins (1794-1880). Watkins was a businessman and in his will made a bequest of money and land to found Watkins Institute. Washington Bogart Cooper (1802-1888) and Ann Litton Cooper (1806-1892) purchased the home and land from Nathaniel A.
