Foxview was built in 1835 in Brentwood on Old Smyrna Rd.(current address 9134) by Alexander Ewing Sneed (1812-1852) on land received from his parents, James and Bethenia Perkins Sneed of Sneed Acres.
The property is part of the Sneed clan of old Brentwood - Brentvale, Sneed Acres, Windy Hill. He had married Elizabeth Guthrie (1815-1868) in 1834. It was located across from his brother’s Windy Hill home.
About 1950, George Augustus Shwab, Jr. (1913-1958) and Elizabeth Agnes Battelle Shwab Kennedy (1913-1999) owned the home and extensively renovated it. They lived in Brentwood during the process. His first wife was Virginia Beltz Shwab.
Moe Lytle owned the property about 1989. He and his wife Naomi purchased a home in Brentwood in 2009 and likely sold well before 2019 because he sold another mansion in Brentwood that year. Evidently, Lytle has owned several homes over the decades. Gayron C. “Moe” Lytle is a long-time music producer in Middle Tennessee and runs Gusto Records. See also Brentvale, Sneed Acres, Windy Hill
