Laura Davis Ellliott (1891-1956) and Cecil W. G. Elliott (1882-1957) built this home in a hexagonal shape. The home is in the Bailey Station area in Collierville. It is 20 miles east of Memphis. The name comes from the home architecture. The Elliott family bought 28 acres of land from her family, Charles R. Davis II and Eddie King Davis.

Cecil was Credit Manager for Russell Grader Manufacturing Co. of the Memphis branch. Laura was very active in the community.

In 1945, Charles R. Davis III and Mildred R. Davis owned the property so it remained in family. Davis bought the property from his sister Laura E. In 1976, it was purchased by Dr. Donald N. Anishanslin and Lillian R. Anishanslin.

In 2006 James Blount moved his law office to the building to help save it. He plans to redevelop the back 20 acres. In 2024, there was a Criss Cross Village, Criss Cross Building and Crisscross Lane.
