Patrick Patterson and Mary "Polly" Patterson came from Fairfax, VA in 1798 to what became Robertson Co. He bought 595 acres about 1811 and built their home. After Patterson's death, Polly continued there. Their oldest son Dr. John C. Patterson bought 225 acres including the home from his mother. After Polly's death, John moved to Cross Plains and rented Patterson Place.
In 1862, he sold it to Robert J. Samuels who resided there for a decade until about 1871. Then Charles Howard purchased the property and passed it to his son Lamar Howard.
Lamar sold the farm to the neighboring Dixon family who also rented it out. In 1986, Alfred and Carney Farris bought the property and held it for about 6 years until selling it to the Bellar family. The home was in very poor shape until a descendant found it - she learned after the purchase!
In 2020, William and Nancy Bellar own the property with 1.5 acres. Nancy is the greatx2 granddaughter of ??
