Beech Bluff Rd. Jackson, TN
Circa 1863.
Felix Grundy Gibbs (1820-1896) and Martha T. Kendrick Gibbs (1827-1901) were the first owners. Gibbs was born in Davidson Co., but after his father abandoned his mother, Susannah Lester Gibbs, she moved to Madison Co. and remarried. The property was 212 acres. They chose the site because it was between two springs. 2nd oldest home in Madison Co. It is on a hill. The driveway faces Mifflin Rd. Their daughter Susan Ann Gibbs Cole (1851-1942) married William George Cole (1836-1916).

The home stayed in the family for years. At some point, Martha Lou Gibbs Bain and Elmer Bain returned to Jackson and restored the family home.
In 1988, Mrs. Randolph Dietrich, a descendant, owned.Â
